Stefano Boeri talks about his editorial activity in Domus magazine and some of the projects of Multiplicity collective on the basis of a renewed attention towards local contexts, which are the places where the big tensions of globalization, the transformation that it brings and the contrast with the vertical identities of those same places becomes visible. The new line of Domus wants to shift the attention to the architectural project to the study of the spaces, that involves an excess of transdisciplinary knowledges which are not necessarily useful for the project. Researching local contexts, the dynamic devices they are made of and the various modalities humans and spaces influence each other does not aim to broaden architectural knowledges, but social, cultural and political knowledges, which can include architecture. Briefly: to better understand how to move and act in contemporaneity. Hence the choice of using a multiplicity of voices and perspectives to investigate the same object.
