Sonnet Stanfill is a curator in the Furniture, Textiles and Fashion Department of the V&A, where she has worked since 1999. Her exhibitions at the V&A include Ossie Clark (2003) and New York Fashion Now (2007). In addition, Sonnet has co-curated the V&A’s recent exhibition Ballgowns: British Glamour since 1950 and has co-authored its accompanying publication. She is editor and contributor to the upcoming publication Club to Catwalk: Fashion in 1980s London (2013). Before joining the Museum, Sonnet received her MA in the History of Dress from the Courtauld Institute, after working as a fashion buyer in New York.
